Course Description:
Welcome to the Fall Session of After-School Music!
All levels are welcome and prior experience is not required!
Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your child to the world of music? Look no further than our Orchestra program!
No matter your child’s experience level, our program welcomes all students who are interested in learning how to play woodwind, brass, or string instruments – including guitar, ukulele, and piano. With our small group classes tailored to students’ ages and abilities, they’ll receive personalized attention and instruction from our talented and experienced teachers.
Throughout the 2024-2025 school year program, your child will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony, and traditional note reading, all while playing familiar songs that they love. Smaller groups will come together to form a larger ensemble, culminating in an unforgettable year-end concert.

Instruments
- Kindergarteners and 1st graders may choose the Violin Ensemble (beginning violin) or Piano/Keyboard
- 2nd through 8th graders may choose the Violin Ensemble (beginning and intermediate violin), Piano/Keyboard, Guitar/Ukulele, or Band Ensemble (beginning flute, clarinet trumpet, or alto sax)
Schedule
Instruction for the Fall session begins on Monday, September 9th, 2024, and runs through the entire school year, culminating in a year-end Spring concert in June, 2025.
Thirty minute small group lessons will be held each Monday immediately after dismissal and will run through Session One & Two (September-June) All classes will be scheduled after school between 3PM – 4:30PM.
The final schedule and location of classes will be announced via email after enrollment is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To aid in your planning, note that the younger students and beginning classes will be scheduled earlier than the older students in intermediate and intermediate level classes.
Students waiting to take a later lesson may attend after school care while waiting for their lesson, but must be picked up at the end of their lesson time. If you are already enrolled in after school care your child can attend after school care before and after their music class.
Program costs
A program fee is requested from each participant to cover the entire school year spanning September 2024 through May 2025
- One payment of $595 covers the entire School Year (Both Sessions) – due with registration
- Separate Payments of $350 covers the First Session Only – due with registration
Additional Resources
The program fee covers all instructional costs, sheet music, method books and basic supplies given to your child throughout the year.
Each student will also have access to a customized Class Portal, where they will receive weekly class recaps, practice suggestions, sheet music downloads, helpful video tutorials, and much more!
The only other expense will be the rental or purchase of the instrument (see below).
Private Lessons - *Optional*
Enhance Your Child’s Musical Journey with Personalized Private Lessons!
Our group lessons alone will provide your student with a sufficient amount of instruction throughout the school year to become proficient at their chosen instrument, as well as provide an enriching musical experience.
Designed to complement our group sessions, these optional private lessons offer tailored guidance which caters to individual aspirations and accelerates progress.
Duration: Ongoing – Charged automatically as your pre-paid lesson blocks are completed.
Private Lesson Fee:
- Block of FOUR, 30-minute lessons : $192 – scheduled directly with your teacher on a weekly basis
- Block of TWO, 30-minute lessons : $96 – scheduled directly with your teacher every other week
Getting your instrument
Discounted rental and purchase prices have been arranged for participating music students through our official instrument supplier. Need a Piano?
If you’re enrolling in the piano class it is important to select a keyboard that is lightweight for easy transport to and from school. We’ve selected some portable keyboard options below that are even lighter than a trumpet or violin!
